This is the one that started it all. Eager to prolong the too-short rhubarb season, Monica looked up a recipe for home-canned strawberry rhubarb jam. A few cutting boards and one sticky stovetop later, the apartment smelled like pure springtime. Every time a new jar was cracked open, there was that picture-perfect picnic aroma, tart and sweet. Who knew a mason jar full of jam could be that instantly evocative?
And thus the passion for home preserving was born.
This is the same recipe that took grand champion at the 2017 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. It's our not-so-secret favorite child.
